Long ago when the pyramids were still young egyptian kings played a game of great and terrible power. They did battle with magic and monsters for riches and glory. From these shadow games there erupted a war that threatened to destroy the world until a brave and powerful pharaoh locked the dark magic away. Imprisoning it for all eternity within the mystical millenium items. But even eternity doesnt last forever.
It was never to happen and for five thousand years it never did. Then one day a boy named Yugi got hold of the fabled millenium puzzle. After he managed to put this ancient relic together the world would never be the same again. Years after the battle city finals, years after he hade won the 3 all powerful egyptian god cards he had a new challenge awaiting him.

It all started when many a duelist tried to take him on simply because he was the best. He spent his time avoiding marauding groups of power hungry duelists seeking to win his egyptian god cards. All the while his rival Seto Kaiba did his best to solve the mystery of how to defeat these monsters. He worked long and hard and found no answers. At the same time elsewhere a spirit lurked in the shadows.

Kaiba set off in search of help from Maximillion Pegasus, the creator of duel monsters. After dueling him and winning he took the cards that would help him defeat those most powerful beings. Strangely though there were two cards where only one should have been. As Seto left Pegasus in a dazed and confused state on the floor Yugi was in a museum looking at the remains of Anubis. An ancient wizard that once tried to destroy the world. All that happened was just too convenient. The mummy disappeared and Mokuba Kaiba turned up looking for Yugi to duel his brother. Yugi accepted and they began their battle in Kaibas duel dome.

They traded turns none doing anything much until of course kaiba forced Yugi to play all 3 of his god cards. Yugi thought this foolish of kaiba and didnt know what was in store for him. Kaiba played a mysterious card. The Pyramid of light. The gods were no more. This pyramid however has some special abilities that Kaiba doesnt know about. As the duel continues the loss of their lifepoints gives life to the wizard Anubis and he eventually returns to finish what he started five thousand years ago.

As the battle continued Yugi used his cunning to use kaibas plans against Anubis. He brought back from the graveyard a card that had up until then decimated yugi. He brought back the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon. He used its abilities to destroy the Pyramid of light and used one of Kaibas traps to summon back his egyptian god cards.. They combined together their power and strength and destroyed the great sphynx that Anubis had called forth. When the bright lights of battle passed Anubis slowly disappeared in flames.

When they think they are safe he comes again. After all when the magic is real then holograms hold no power. But if the monsters are now real with his return from his fiery end moments before then so are the effects of those monsters. Once again The Blue Eyes Shining Dragon comes out to play. Using his ability he destroys the twisted hulking beast that Anubis had become. Finally he was no more.
It was never supposed to happen and for five thousand years it never did. Then a small boy caused it to unfold in such a way that it would never happen again.

Im a fan i know not everyone is so this should reflect everyones idea of it anyway.................. I hope.
