What in the hell is so thrilling about spinning tops?

Thats is the question most people ask when confronted with this series. I mean it's kinda surprising that they made a show based around spinning tops isn't it. Well not really, as true to form, its not just some ordinary game they play with these tops.
In this series we meet some very interesting people. The main five being Takao (Tyson), Kenny (The Chief) Max, Rei and Kai. These five young men are known as the bladebreakers. When first we set our eyes upon this show that is not the case though. Let me explain........

In the beginning there was only one. That one was Tyson (I preferr Tyson to Takao and anyway thats what he was called in the translated version of this anime). He was the king of Beyblade and none could defeat him. One day when on his way to meet with one of his friends for a Beybattle he arrived to find him beaten and cowering before his opponent. This heartless person destroyed his friends blade and just laughed. Tyson challenged him and this is where we met the chief. The chief tried to help Tyson and gave him advice on how to win. Tyson managed to increase the rotation of his blade enough to defeat this lowlife blade destroying fool.
| | Upon his defeat this loser tried to run away. He was confronted then by Kai. At this time Kai was not being very nice and was the leader of a group known as the Bladesharks. His Bitbeast made him a powerful foe. They couldn't beat him so they decided to prepare for him. While making his blade stronger and doing a lot of training not only did tyson aquire a bitbeast but the chief was kidnapped. When he went to rescue the chief he found it was Kai's team that took him. He faced Kai in a Beybattle and it resulted in a draw. That was when he first saw the power of a Bitbeast.

| A short time later he meets Max who helps him save a little puppy and they become friends straight away. It was in Max's home that he was told of a Beyblade tournament that he could enter. He and max decided to enter and did very well. The chief was destroyed in it by Kai. Anyway Tyson and Max got to the semi-finals and so did Kai. Also the other guy I mentioned, Rei, got there too. Tyson had a hard time with Rei but beat him nonetheless. Kai stepped up and decimated Max. In the end it was a heated final bout between Kai and Tyson. The T-man came out on top.

It was after the final bout that they foun out that all semi-finalists qualified as part of a new team being set up. They were all Bladebreakers now.
They headed off then to compete in the different tournaments around the world. First up was asia and there they faced the White Tigers, Rei's old team. They faced each other in the final round and found each other hard to beat. It all came down to a tie breaker between Rei and the leader of the White Tigers, Lee. It was a tough battle but Rei's experience shone brighter than Lees anger and determination and led him into the winners circle.

Next they were in the States and in Max' moms home town. It was there that they met with the All Stars. An American Beyblading team led by Max's mom. They were all athletes that turned their skills in other sports to Beyblading. Basketball, football, baseball and tennis were their fields of expertise. In the grudge match of the century it all came down to the All Stars best player against Max. In an effort to show off his skills to his mom he threw himself into the match and he trounced the baseball fanmatic he faced with ease in the final game.
After this they were travelling all over Europe for a while after a mishap with a boat trip. On their way they squared off against four rich bladers each a |
champion in his own right and a hero in his own country. They had a lot of trouble with them at first but when the time came they really stepped up their games a little. They had to face them in a tournament to see who had the right to participate in the upcoming Russian tournament. As I said they stepped up and kicked ass.
When they reach the Russian tournament grounds they find that Kai has a dark secret. He was once a part of the Russian teams group. His grandfather infact ran the group. He joined up with them again and gave up his Dranzer Bitbeast for the greater power of his new Black Dranzer which had been created by the russians as a super Bitbeast. This creature had the power to absorb other Bitbeasts and gain their strength and abilities. After fighting the Bladebreakers on an icy lake he was beaten by his old blade by his Dranzer. He knew he had to be a bladebreaker again.
In the final tournament of the series it was all or nothing for the Bladebreakers.
| If they lost everyone lost. Kai took the lead and started them on the way to victory but when Rei tried to do the same he was struck down. His match caused him immense physical abuse and he was carried from the arena on a stretcher. When Tyson saw this he knew it was all up to him. He took his bitbeast to the limit to defeat the russian swine. During his battle he and his foe became encased in ice from the intense power of the battle. His foe used the black dranzer with many Bitbeasts inside it and he had Tyson on the ropes. Tysons skill and determination to win for his friends sake drove him to push himself to the limit and his Dragoon responded to that with a burst of energy |

that easily defeated his opponent. He was the winner.
With the team defeated the Russian leader was taken into custody for trying to use bitbeasts to take over the world or something corny like that. Gotta have corn in a series somewhere.
With the world championships from russia over what will our heros do now? Only time will tell. Must watch all of the next series............ get back to me on that one ok.
